Indeed, while a few of the artificial inseminations appeared to work, Chambless lost each of those babies a few weeks later. Unsurprisingly, that took a toll on her, adding to the pain she already felt from the years before. Yet during an interview with the New York Post newspaper in May 2020, she noted that McMorries was a helpful figure in times of struggle.
