Gibson concedes that the film resorts to titillation. But unlike most erotic thrillers, the camera focuses just as much on male flesh as it does female. She writes, “Denise Richards may go topless, but delightfully, Kevin Bacon bares all too… When the gaze is widened from male to everybody’s, then everybody wins.”
