Itching
There are currently five known types of gynecological cancers that can and do affect women, with the only one being routinely screened for being that of cervical cancer. It is for this imperative reason that women be tuned into their bodies, and recognized possible signs and symptoms of other areas that can be affected as well—such as the uterine, vaginal and vulvar areas. The most common symptom, as well as the most largely ignored, is that of genital itching. If itching is present and persistent, and the conventional topical treatments are not working, or if there is the presence of thickened skin, heightened sensitivity or bleeding, it is time to call a doctor.
