The lines will stop ants from crossing the chalk to get into your house. Apparently, you can also spray powdered chalk to cover more ground. Just make sure the lines are still there after rainfall or heavy winds. Otherwise, you’ll have to redraw – though that’s a small task in exchange for an ant-free household.
