People have filled their living spaces with Osage oranges for decades because the citrusy fruit is hated by one pest in particular: the roach. A New York Times writer who tried the all-natural repellent placed the hedge apples in all the places where roaches could enter or hide in her apartment. After that, the journalist said, she didn’t see any more of them, and lots of other homeowners have had the same success.
