Mint can help indoors, too, although you’ll want to pick the plant up in its essential oil form. Pour some peppermint onto a cotton ball or pad and wipe the areas through which the ants seem to walk. You can also leave a few peppermint-soaked cotton balls where they tend to convene to really turn them off from returning.
