She turned down the opportunity to help Enzo Pereda twice
A year later marked a moment for Ina Garten to redeem herself and help Enzo’s dreams come true. Sadly, that wasn’t going to happen. Ina once again refused to take part in the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s offer as she said that she was still too busy to take some time out of her busy schedule. It wasn’t until Enzo’s family wrote a blog post all about the experience that the rest of the world learned what had happened between the family and Ina.

The TV chef was quick to try and control the damage by inviting Enzo onto her cooking show to make his dream come true. The twist? Enzo and his family rejected Ina’s offer. In fact, they stated that the little boy had “moved on” from his dream of cooking alongside Ina. Instead, he hoped to swim with dolphins.
