James Sherk earns $120,000 a year as special assistant to the President for Domestic Policy. In 2019 the website Politico revealed a 2017 memo by him that, according to the site, “encouraged President Donald Trump to eliminate all job protections for federal workers and a requirement that federal contractors provide paid sick leave for employees.” Sherk refused to comment on the article.
