But while there’s plenty to dissect about Martha Stewart, her lifestyle empire, and her life in general, there’s one piece that often gets overlooked. Stewart loves pets. That’s right: she really, really loves pets. She’s long been an avid animal lover and supporter, and she has a surprising number of pets.
In Stewart’s home in New York, you’ll find quite the menagerie. She has a number of dogs, including champion show Chow Chow dogs, French Bulldogs, a few Himalayan cats, a Fell Pony, and a number of Friesian horses. Her love for animals led her to denounce wearing fur, and she works with farm animal and animal welfare organizations today.
