It was in his teenage that Belgian-born Jean-Claude Van Damme was discovered as a martial arts prodigy who excelled at kickboxing and karate. But it would be until the 80s and 90s that the very handsome and photogenic star would land his biggest international movies.
Remember the action star in Bloodsport, Hard Target, and the Kickboxer and Universal Soldier movie series? Well, he’s still at it making action-packed movies but they have become far and few, since in the 90s he started rejecting movies as they were offering him less money. The media blamed Jean-Claude’s fall on his greed, but we are glad to see him on screen once again!
