Fix squeaky hinges
Unless you live under a rock, there’s a high chance that your home comes with doors While they are great for shutting out the sound of your annoying brother and avoiding the spoilers from the television show you’re not up to date with, they aren’t so great as they get older. That’s because many hinges start to rust as the years go by, and this ultimately causes them to squeak every time you open or close the door.
Nobody wants squeaky hinges, but you’ll be happy to know that petroleum jelly can sort them right out. If you get a q-tip and rub some Vaseline into the hinges, you should be able to hear an immediate difference. If it’s not immediate, open and close the door a few times to ensure that the Vaseline has gone right into the cracks.
